The enchanting Saimaa, the fascinating history of the harbor and fortress headlands, and the diverse natural surroundings offer a memorable visit, for which our 1930s villa creates an atmospheric setting.
We want to offer our guests unforgettable experiences on the shores of Lake Saimaa, near the historic Kimpinen Fortress and Lappeenranta Fortress areas and Myllysaari. We can spend time together however you wish – chatting, enjoying nature, walking, hiking, learning about the history of our region or telling stories in a cozy Karelian coffee table, not forgetting music.

Our POP UP Café Villa Aarre is at your service. In summer pop up days we offer bagels and milkshakes, as well as waffles and ice cream. You can customize your waffle or ice cream to your taste. We also sell handicrafts made by locals, especially young people.

A long time ago we had a dream – to improve the world – to make it a little bit kinder and happier place.
We thought what we could do, how we could contribute to community and reduce loneliness. We came to the conclusion that Karelianism in all its forms could provide a good echo chamber for encounters and togetherness.
Karelianism means warm-hearted hospitality, genuine encounters, listening and conversations, singing and music, and wonderful shared experiences. When this is combined with the enchanting Lake Saimaa and the fascinating Fortress, the lifetime experience is ready.
